Sedum Aizoon Stonecrop Sedum Aizoon is a rhizomatous, succulent, herbaceous perennial native to Siberia and China. Sedum Aizoon seeds can be started indoors in winter and spring 6-8 weeks before last frost, or the seeds can be planted directly outdoors after last frost. Also called Aizoon Stonecrop and Fei Cai, this hardy perennial ground cover plant forms thick, dark-green foliage of 2-3 inches long succulent leaves and blooms with very showy clusters of bright-yellow, star-shaped flowers on sturdy, upright, 12-20 inches tall stems. Sedum Aizoon blooms in summer attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.
