Rush Javelin Juncus Pallidus is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial grass native to Australia, New Zealand, and North America. Rush Javelin seeds have to be just slightly pressed into the soil and not covered, because these seeds need light to germinate. Also commonly called Giant Rush or Pale Rush, this attractive ornamental grass forms spiky, symmetrical, colorful clumps of super attractive grassy leaves that start lime-green in color in spring but changing their color to bluish-green throughout the season.
Rush Javelin is a versatile evergreen perennial grass that provides year-round interest in the landscape tolerating any soil, from dry to standing water and being hardy up to 10 degrees F, Giant Rush makes one of few ornamental grasses for winter interest. Easily growing from Juncus Pallidus seeds, Javelin Rush produces stiff, upright clumps of blue-green foliage that look wonderful in garden beds and mixed containers, and Pale Rush is a quite universal Juncus that is drought and hit tolerant when grown in the garden and moisture and even standing water tolerant as a pond plant.
