Armeria Sea Pink Armeria Maritima Splendens is a herbaceous, compact, evergreen perennial. Armeria is one of the easiest perennials to grow from seeds. Other common names of this plant are Sea Thrift, and Common Thrift. Sea Pink has grass like foliage and blooms with globular clusters of rose-pink flowers for few weeks from mid-spring to early summer. Its fragrant, full of nectar flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Armeria is a fabulous ground cover for small areas, and Sea Pink is also effective for edging, bordering and growing in rock gardens, containers and pots. Armeria Maritima Splendens grows best in full sun and infertile, dry, well-drained soil tolerating occasional drought.
