Anemone Madonna Anemone Sylvestris is a hardy, herbaceous perennial native to Eastern and Central Europe. Also called Snowdrop Anemone because of its glistening white blooms, Anemone Madonna can be started from seeds, and once established the plant produces masses of fragrant, pure-white flowers with yellow stamens clustered in their center. Snowdrop Anemone blooms all spring long.
White Anemone Madonna makes a superb, flowering ground cover and can be used to edge a walkway, or for early bloom in a mixed bed or border. Anemone Sylvestris best performs in partial sun or bright shade and moist, but well-drained soil.
