Ammobium Alatum Grandiflorum is a perennial native to eastern Australia. Ammobium is commonly called Winged Everlasting, and the plant can be started from Ammobium seeds indoors or directly outdoors. This rare perennial plant has woody foliage with basalt, rosette-like leaves and blooms with small white-yellow flower heads that have white ray florets and yellow disc florets. Ammobium blooms from spring until early fall.
Winged Everlasting is often grown in cutting gardens, because this flower is perfect for cutting, drying and use as an everlasting that is long lasting and looks beautiful for years. Ammobium Alatum Grandiflorum thrives in sandy, well-drained soil and likes to grow in full sun. Ammobium dries best when it is harvested after flowers open about half way.
